ROE Visual Shines at Tpi Award Night

Shenzhen, China (3 March 2020) – ROE Visual performed at the heart of the stunning stage design for the yearly TPI Awards. Based on the stage design by Fix8 and content design by Visual Edge, a full package of ROE Visual LED products were used to create a beautiful backdrop for the Awards ceremony. The Total Production International Awards, as produced by Mondiale Media is an annual event to honor some of the most creative and technical achievements in the world of live entertainment. The TPI Awards were staged at the London based Battersea Evolution on February 24th and hosted over 1700 delegates from the live event and touring industries, bringing together manufacturers, designers and technical specialists from all creative disciplines, such as video, light, and sound

ROE Visual supplied the LED screens in the show and bar areas and provided additional technical support to video rental partner 80six. 80six supplied ROE Strip, cameras and PPU for the main stage, ROE CB3 for the two entrance screens and full technical video support to the show.  With a large delegation of the creative industry in the room, the show needed to be not only of impeccable performance, but also a memorable event.

This years’ theme was based on the 1970s disco vibes (inspired by Studio 54, the legendary New York nightclub, the place to be for an eclectic mix of cool trends and a hedonist lifestyle).

The main stage offered a full width arched LED screen, consisting of the Carbon CB5 series LED panels running on Evision processing, build on a ground supported stacking system. The video graphics as designed by Visual Edge were inspired by Studio 54’s stylized graphics.

Lighting Designer Nathan Wan positioned Robe LEDBeam fixtures around the main screen arch to echo the video vibe and so they could match their fast screen sweeps and swipes. These combined seamlessly with the video elements to create the Awards signature look for 2020. “We were really keen on everything being very coherent and harmonious”, explained Nathan.

“Some of the biggest names in the industry attend the TPI Awards so the stakes are high, despite this, the whole team smashed it and the show went off without a hitch. We had loads of really good feedback and it’s without a doubt that lots of the credit we received were due to the involvement and cooperation of our good friends at ROE Visual”, Jack James, Director of 80six stated. The main bar area was highlighted with 6 LED screens made of Vanish V8 LED panels, which featured as a clear division between the seating space and the reception area. With a display of sponsor logos and seventies style graphics, it provided a chic and intimate atmosphere around the bar area.

Diamond DM2.6 screens were used as IMAG screens in the main seating area, providing additional visual support for those seated further away from the main stage.

Not only supporting the show, but also enjoying the opportunity of this great networking event, ROE Visual hosted a table with a variety of guests. With representatives from AED Display, Faber Audiovisuals and Crossrent, ESC2020, Adlib and Lux the ROE Visual Europe team members spend a very amiable night.

ROE Visual took also pride in the fact that all nominated companies for the “Favorite Video Rental Company” work with ROE Visual LED products. Congrats go to Universal Pixels who scooped up this years’ Award.
