Dave UK Arena Tour - Real-Time Touring Visuals with ROE Visual Vanish V8T

Transparent LED for Layered Stage Design

Dave’s highly anticipated UK arena tour marked his return to the stage with a production that combined real-time content rendering, automation, and layered LED visuals. At the core of this ambitious design were ROE Visual’s Vanish V8T transparent LED panels, enabling a flexible and immersive visual environment that evolved throughout the performance.

Delivered by video specialist Universal Pixels, the production centred around eight moving screens, suspended on tracks above the stage and continuously shifting in position and orientation. This kinetic setup required a display solution capable of maintaining visual integrity while interacting seamlessly with light, content, and camera systems.

ROE Visual’s Vanish V8T panels were selected for their high transparency, brightness, and lightweight touring design, allowing content and lighting to pass through multiple visual layers. This created a dynamic interplay between image and stage environment, where screens could appear solid, semi-transparent, or almost invisible depending on content and lighting states.

Integrated within a real-time workflow, positional data from the moving screens was fed into media servers, enabling continuous recalculation and rendering of content in response to physical movement. This ensured that visuals remained spatially accurate and coherent throughout the performance—an increasingly important requirement in modern touring productions. This allowed the stage to continuously evolve, supporting narrative-driven content and immersive visual storytelling.

Real-Time Content Rendering in a Touring Environment
The LED system was integrated into a real-time rendering workflow, where positional data from the moving screens was fed into media servers. Content was recalculated and mapped frame-by-frame, ensuring accurate alignment between physical movement and visual output. This approach reflects a growing trend in live production, where real-time, data-driven visuals are replacing static playback systems.

In addition to the kinetic screens, Vanish V8T panels were deployed as IMAG displays, supporting live camera feeds and enhancing audience engagement across the arena.High refresh rates and consistent colour performance ensured that camera and LED output remained aligned, supporting both live viewing and broadcast capture.

“Touring productions today are pushing towards more adaptive and responsive visual systems,” says DAve Morris, Sales Director for ROE Visual UK. “Solutions like Vanish allow designers to work with transparency, depth, and movement, without compromising on brightness or reliability. That combination is key when integrating LED into complex, real-time workflows.”

The production also reflects a broader shift in the live music industry, where LED, media servers, and tracking systems converge into a single visual ecosystem. With increasing demand for immersive stage design, transparent LED solutions such as Vanish are becoming central to delivering scalable and visually engaging live experiences.

By supporting both creative flexibility and operational reliability, ROE Visual continues to enable touring productions that push the boundaries of live performance design.
