Meet ROE Visual at VP Gathering 2026 in Breda
ROE Visual is proud to sponsor the Virtual Production Gathering 2026, taking place from 14–16 April at Breda University of Applied Sciences in Breda, the Netherlands.
As virtual production continues to grow across film, broadcast, advertising, and studio-based content creation, VP Gathering has become an important event for the professionals shaping the future of the craft. For ROE Visual, it is a natural place to support the conversations, workflows, and technologies driving the next stage of virtual production in Europe.
Virtual production is maturing
Today, virtual production is no longer defined by novelty alone. It is increasingly judged by how well it performs in real production environments—where camera-readiness, workflow efficiency, creative flexibility, and technical consistency all matter.
For DoPs, VP supervisors, VFX teams, technical operators, and studio managers, that means working with tools and technologies that support not only ambitious visuals, but also smooth execution and dependable results.
ROE Visual supports that shift with LED solutions designed for the practical realities of LED volumes, in-camera VFX, real-time environments, and studio-based production workflows.
ROE-sponsored sessions at VP Gathering 2026
Rhoda Wainwright – Sustainability in Virtual Production: Myth or Reality?
On 15 April, Rhoda Wainwright, Co-founder & COO of Mrs. Greenfilm, will examine one of the industry’s most relevant questions: is virtual production truly a sustainable production model? Using real-world case studies and ongoing research, her session explores how LED-based production compares to traditional location-based workflows and looks at the carbon footprint of LED panels through research involving ROE Visual. This session is especially relevant for studio leaders, producers, and production decision-makers looking to make more informed choices around sustainability and operational efficiency.
Robert Okker – Virtual Production for iHostage
Also on 15 April, Robert Okker, Head of AI & Tech at Planet X, will present a behind-the-scenes case study on the virtual production workflow for iHostage. The session explores how large-scale digital environments based on 3D scans of Amsterdam’s busiest locations were developed and delivered on a 51 x 6 metre LED wall using ROE Visual panels. For VP supervisors, content teams, technical directors, and studio operators, this offers valuable insight into how content pipelines and LED infrastructure come together in a high-end virtual production environment.
Steve Giralt Masterclass – Reinventing Tabletop Cinematography with Virtual Production
On 16 April, Steve Giralt will take to the VP stage with a masterclass focused on tabletop cinematography in virtual production. Exploring how smaller LED volumes, motion control, real-time environments, and precision lighting can be used to create visually rich food, beverage, and product content, the session highlights how virtual production is opening up new creative opportunities beyond large cinematic stages. For DoPs, commercial directors, tabletop specialists, and creative technologists, this is a strong example of how virtual production is evolving into a flexible tool for more controlled and design-led forms of storytelling.
A place to connect, learn, and explore
In addition to the speaker sessions, attendees can visit the VP Marketplace, where leading vendors and service providers will showcase the latest tools, technologies, and workflow solutions shaping today’s virtual production ecosystem.
For ROE Visual, sponsoring VP Gathering is part of a broader commitment to supporting the professionals and production environments that continue to push the industry forward.
“Virtual production is no longer just about the technology itself—it is about how reliably and creatively it can be applied in real production scenarios,” says Olaf Sperwer, Director of Virtual Production, XR and Broadcast EMEA at ROE Visual. “VP Gathering brings together exactly the kind of conversations that matter to the future of the craft, and we are proud to be part of it.”
