It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of our dear friend and former colleague, Victor Kortekaas. After a year-long battle, he passed away far too soon. Victor was very much loved by his colleagues within the ROE Visual family, highly respected for his technical brilliance, deeply admired for his collaborative spirit, and cherished for his warmth, humour, and generous heart.

As Technical Director at ROE Visual, Victor played an important role in shaping the company’s direction and innovation. With his exceptional knowledge of LED technology, he was a guiding force behind important developments, including laying the foundations for the ROE Academy and the GhostFrame technology. More importantly, Victor was an inspiring mentor to many across the industry.

Victor approached every challenge with an inquisitive mind and a calm confidence. Victor's ability to face complex problems and turn them into elegant solutions made him an invaluable colleague as well as a trusted expert for our clients and collaborators. Beyond his technical talents, Victor’s true legacy lies in how he connected with people, with kindness, laughter, and authenticity.

He was a devoted husband and a very proud father of two daughters. To his family, whom he spoke of often and with great affection, we extend our deepest condolences. We hope they find strength in the fact that so many people in our industry loved Victor. We also like to extend our condolences to his colleagues at his current employer, Bourgonje.

Victor’s contribution to ROE Visual was impactful; his vision, integrity, and humanity have left an indelible mark. We are grateful to have known him as a colleague and as a friend.
